I feel like they could have done this from farther away to reduce the angle of the pull. It looks like they’re lifting it as much as they’re pulling it out after a while.

Any reason why they pulled from so high? If they are trying to pull it out it would have made sense just to use the truck and some rollers to get it out

its so heavy, the friction of it against the ground is greater than the traction available to the truck, by lifting it they reduce the friction on the bottom of the vault. The last time I saw a bank vault removed they demolished the building around it, then brought in a giant mobile crane and lifted it onto a trailer with about 10 axels to be hauled away.

then you have to buy rollers and bah bah abha.

easier to just pull up and out to reduce friction of the vault with the ground. and in doing so, you get more friction at the truck as well.
